Snoring Earplugs - not just for snoring

Snoring earplugs are disposable foam earplugs designed to reduce noise while being comfortable to wear. They are usually soft, self-adjusting and non-irritating, although this of course, is an individual matter. It may take a little time to get used to the feel of them, but many people report that they are very happy with the results.

Earplugs don't completely block noise because sound actually transmits through our bones. Earplugs can only intercept sound transmitted directly through the air, but cannot entirely stop snoring and other noises from reaching your inner ear. In the case of sleeping next to a snorer, the mattress and pillow may carry some of the sound.

Still, many people swear by earplugs, which are fairly inexpensive to try, certainly when compared with some other sound-reducing measures. There are many brands available. According to Consumersearch, the best earplugs for indoor use are the Hearos Ultimate Softness line. Although more expensive than competing brand, Howard Leight MAX, but are more comfortable and efficient at blocking out sound. They will cost you about $15 for a box of 40. That's less than $1 a night.
